"Crafting the best vintage inspired, hand-tooled, instruments for the people..."

What does this 👆mean for you?  I know finding a vintage guitar that plays well, doesn’t require a major overhall, frets, neck, hardware and electronics can be difficult and daunting to find, let alone exist. And just below that, a “Custom this, Master that” can be priced right out of anyone’s budget. We looked back at the “Golden Age” of guitar building to bring you a competitively priced, fully customizable, hand-tooled, instrument built with the same artistry and skill of the early ‘50’s and through the ‘60’s.

DOCUMENT THE PROCESS

Bel sonique wanted eye catching photos to demonstrate how they make their guitars From start to finish.

their message:  YOU ARE NOT A NUMBER

The brand faces competition from the "stamp-out" processes used by companies that mass produce instruments,  creating perfect clones with much of the character of the guitar lost.

THEIR MISSION IS TO BRING BACK THE CRAFTSMANSHIP, AND HAND-TOOLING FROM A TIME PERIOD MANY CONSIDER THE "GOLDEN AGE" OF GUITAR MAKING; 1950 TO THE EARLY 1960'S.

A PT-1 (their style designation/name) made from 100 year old Alaskan cedar that was formerly the bench seating at one of the most iconic cultural venues in the world from 1919 through now. The Hollywood Bowl and its seats have borne witness to the most famous performers in history. This wood has not just been shaped and colored by the weather of southern California but also the sonic vibrations of talents both old and new. It’s a piece of cultural history. How much more appropriate could it be than to be fashioned it into a beautiful musical instrument that can help create more music for generations and be handed down in perpetuity to those that follow.

This behind the scenes photography uses imagery that demonstrates to their potential client how unique each guitar is.  Every single part of the process is hands on.
Their goal isn’t to reinvent the vintage guitar, but rather carry on its legacy. The hand-tooled process creates guitars with subtle variations and what they consider beautiful inconsistencies.

No two guitars are ever the same.

In an industry cluttered with mass production, bel Sonique creates guitars with a human touch, a soul.
